State Health Department Building and Local Grant Trust Fund

(a) There is established on the books of the Treasurer of State, Auditor of State, and Chief Fiscal Officer of the State a fund to be known as the "State Health Department Building and Local Grant Trust Fund". (b) The fund shall consist of such revenues as may be authorized by law, including a portion collected under § 20-7-129 and § 20-7-408(f) . (c) The Secretary of the Department of Health shall be the disbursing agent and executive officer for the fund. (d) The fund shall be a continuing fund, not subject to fiscal year limitations, and, except as provided in § 20-7-203(b) , shall only be used for expansion, renovation, construction, or improvements to the Department of Health building and for grants for construction, renovation, or other expansion of approved local health unit facilities in this state. (e) No money from the fund may be used for the acquisition, purchase, lease, or otherwise, of real property for any local health unit facility. Amended by Act 2019, No. 910,§ 4937, eff. 7/1/2019.
