Acceptance service - Authority of meat inspectors

(a) The acceptance service to be provided by the Department of Agriculture is to be accomplished by employees of the state who are authorized to inspect livestock, livestock carcasses, parts of livestock carcasses, or meat food products under the provisions of the Arkansas Meat and Meat Products Inspection Act, § 20-60-201 et seq. (b) Department meat inspectors are designated and authorized to certify as to whether or not meat and meat food products conform with specification requirements cited in official purchase agreements regarding requirements such as type, class, style, weight range, state of refrigeration, required packaging, and other suitability factors.
