Board of Developmental Disabilities Services - Contracts for provision of services

(a) If and to the extent necessary to accomplish the intended purpose of this subchapter to make available the broadest and most effective provision of intellectual and developmental disabilities services to those in need of the services, the Board of Developmental Disabilities Services is authorized to contract for the providing of intellectual and developmental disabilities services by other public agencies or private organizations. (b) In this regard, the board may promulgate rules and fix standards necessary to properly ensure that such intellectual and developmental disabilities services are furnished in a proper and reasonable manner and on an economical basis.
