(a) Upon receiving the petition, the court shall fix a date for a hearing on the petition and shall cause notice of the petition, with the time and place for the hearing, to be served personally at least seven (7) days before the hearing upon the person who has tuberculosis and is alleged to be dangerous to others. (b) While the petition is pending, the person shall be subject to the local quarantine or restrictions of his or her movements placed on him or her by the health officer for the protection of the public health.
