The Treasurer of State is designated as the official registrar of all direct obligation bonds of this state. Upon the application of the holder of any such obligations, the Treasurer of State shall register them as to principal only or as to both principal and interest. Thereafter, upon similar application, he or she shall discharge such obligations from registration. Acts 1955, No. 338, § 10; A.S.A. 1947, § 13-410.
