Deed or patent by Governor

(a) In all cases in which, by the laws of this state, the Governor is required to execute any deed of conveyance or patent for any lands sold or granted by the state, the deed of conveyance or patent, when executed by the Governor and countersigned by the Secretary of State, and when the seal of the state shall be affixed thereto, shall convey all the right and title of the state in and to the lands to the purchaser. (b) (1) The deed may be recorded in the office of the recorder of the proper county and shall have the same effect as evidence. (2) A duly certified transcript of the deed or patent taken from the record thereof shall have the same effect as evidence in all the courts in this state as if the deed or patent had been acknowledged and recorded under the existing laws of this state.
