(a) A legally licensed physician and surgeon who has been issued a license to practice medicine in another state where the requirements for licensure are equal to those established by the State of Arkansas may be permitted by the Arkansas State Medical Board to practice his or her profession in this state without taking an examination upon payment of a fee as provided in § 17-95-411 . (b) The issuance of a license by credentials by the board shall be at the sole discretion of the board, and the board may provide such rules governing such an admission as may be deemed necessary by or desirable to the board.
