(a) The Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy shall register in a suitable book the names and places of residence of all persons to whom it issues certificates and the date of issuance. (b) The board shall issue an appropriate certificate to each person licensed. The certificate must be conspicuously displayed in every store described in this chapter. (c) The board may provide by rule for issuing and waiving the renewal fee for pharmacy certificates denoting special recognition for pharmacists who have the following qualifications: (1) The pharmacist graduated from a college of pharmacy approved by the board fifty (50) or more years before the date on which the certificate will be issued; or (2) (A) The pharmacist has held an Arkansas pharmacist license for forty-nine (49) continuous years before the date on which the certificate will be issued without any lapse in the payment of licensure fees. (B) However, a pharmacist who has paid fees to reinstate an expired license shall not be deemed to have held a license for continuous years. Amended by Act 2019, No. 315,§ 1579, eff. 7/24/2019.
