Prescriptions for all healthcare professionals - Definition

(a) As used in this section, "healthcare professional" means a person who is licensed, certified, or otherwise authorized by the laws of this state to administer health care in the ordinary course of the practice of his or her profession. (b) A pharmacist licensed in the State of Arkansas may fill prescriptions in the State of Arkansas for any healthcare professional who has prescriptive authority to the extent of that healthcare professional's scope of practice.
