Revocation, suspension, or refusal to renew - Procedures

(a) No certificate of license shall be rejected for renewal, suspended, or revoked for any cause, unless the person accused has been given at least thirty (30) days' notice in writing setting forth the nature of the charges against him or her. (b) The accused person must also be afforded a public hearing at which time the person accused shall have the right to appear with or without counsel, to confront witnesses who appear against him or her, and to adduce testimony in his or her own behalf. (c) A record of the charges filed and the action taken thereon shall be prepared. (d) All hearings of the State Board of Optometry and appeals from decisions or orders of the board will be subject to the provisions of the Arkansas Administrative Procedure Act, § 25-15-201 et seq.
