(a) Any person, member, or employee of a firm, partnership, or corporation desiring to engage in the business of electrical contractor may apply for and be issued a license upon satisfying the Board of Electrical Examiners of the State of Arkansas that he or she or it is either a master electrician or employs a master electrician as its superintendent or manager and shall pay a license fee in the amount of one hundred dollars ($100) per year. (b) Any electrical contractor having met the requirements of this chapter may work in any municipality in the state without further examinations after first showing evidence of state license as described in this chapter and paying such fees as required by the municipality in which the work is to be performed.
