(a) Any person, firm, partnership, association, or corporation violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine of not less than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) nor more than one hundred dollars ($100) for each offense. Each succeeding day on which the provisions of this chapter are violated shall be a separate offense. (b) If any licensed abstracter shall willfully falsify any public record or information contained therein, he or she shall be guilty of a felony and punished accordingly in addition to his or her civil liability.
