Challenge for cause

(a) A challenge for cause shall be decided by the court, and, in order to determine the challenge, the particular juror challenged may be sworn, or, at the instance of either party, all of the jurors may be sworn to make true and perfect answers to such questions as may be demanded of them, touching their qualifications as jurors. (b) The court may allow other testimony in regard to the qualifications of any juror. Civil Code, § 346; C. & M. Dig., § 6380; Pope's Dig., § 8342; A.S.A. 1947, § 39-228.
