(a) It is unlawful for any person or organization to operate a lawyer referral service without prior approval of the Arkansas Supreme Court. "Lawyer referral service" means referring clients to attorneys and receiving compensation for the referral. (b) (1) Any court of competent jurisdiction may order any person or organization violating this section to cease and desist from operating a lawyer referral service. (2) Any person or entity failing to comply with the court order shall be deemed in contempt of court and subject to such punishment as prescribed by the court. Acts 1991, No. 55, §§ 1, 2.
