(a) The chancellors, circuit judges, and circuit-chancery judges of the Fourth Judicial District may each employ one (1) secretary-court reporter-case coordinator to perform such duties as may be assigned by the respective judges. (b) The secretaries authorized by this section shall be appointed by the respective judges, shall be sworn officers of the court, and each shall hold office at the discretion of and during the term of the judge who appointed him or her, except that he or she may be dismissed for incompetency, neglect of duty, or misbehavior.
