Assistant to Reporter of the Supreme Court

(a) The Reporter of the Supreme Court is authorized to employ an assistant to aid the Reporter in the preparation of the headnotes for the published decisions of the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeals and in the supervision of the distribution and publication of the decisions of the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeals. (b) No person shall be employed as an assistant by the Reporter in accordance with this section unless he or she is a licensed attorney. (c) The position of assistant to the Reporter shall be state-funded at a salary to be set by the General Assembly.
