Governor official representative of state on commission - Assistant representative

The Governor shall be the official representative of the State of Arkansas on the Interstate Oil Compact Commission, provided for in the Interstate Compact to Conserve Oil and Gas, and shall exercise and perform for the State of Arkansas all the powers and duties as a member of the Interstate Oil Compact Commission; provided that he or she shall have the authority to appoint an assistant representative of the State of Arkansas as a member of said commission. Said assistant representative shall take the oath of office prescribed by the Arkansas Constitution, which shall be filed with the Secretary of State. Acts 1941, No. 86, § 4; A.S.A. 1947, § 53-804.
