(a) The Oil and Gas Commission may appoint one (1) hearing officer to preside at all public hearings of the commission. (b) The hearing officer may administer oaths and conduct hearings in conformity with the laws of this state applicable to hearings and proceedings before the commission and the rules of the commission.
