(a) (1) Within ten (10) days after the designation of the four (4) wards, the Secretary of State by proclamation in accordance with § 7-11-101 et seq. shall call special primary and general elections to be held in the municipality for the purpose of electing seven (7) directors and a mayor. (2) (A) The primary election shall be held in accordance with § 7-11-101 et seq. (B) The special general election shall be held in accordance with § 7-11-101 et seq. (b) These elections shall be called and conducted, and the results shall be determined and certified, as provided in § 14-48-109 .
