Appointments of officers by council

(a) All appointments of officers by any council of a municipal corporation shall be made viva voce, and the concurrence of a like majority shall be required. (b) On the votes resulting in the appointment, the names of those voting and for whom they voted shall be recorded, and all such voting shall be public. Acts 1875, No. 1, § 29, p. 1; C. & M.
