(a) All municipal corporations with a population, according to the last federal census, of one thousand (1,000) people or more, shall paint or prepare a conspicuous sign displaying the name of the municipality so as to be visible to persons traveling by air. (b) The sign shall be for the guidance and protection of aircraft in flight. Acts 1947, No. 44, § 1; A.S.A. 1947, § 74-124.
