(a) Additional territory may be annexed to and embraced by a water district established and operating under this subchapter by petition to the circuit court in which the water district was originally established. (b) The petition shall be prepared, filed, and proceedings had thereon in the same manner as is set out in this subchapter for original petitions praying the formation of a water district.
