(a) All archeological functions of the program of historic preservation, including that under 54 U.S.C. § 302301 et seq. and as provided for under this subchapter shall be performed by the Arkansas Archeological Survey for the purpose of statewide archeological investigation and preservation. (b) In furtherance of the development and implementation of a statewide program of historic preservation, the survey and the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program shall cooperate in the fullest manner possible.
