(a) The Division of Arkansas State Police shall maintain headquarters and an Identification Bureau which shall be located at the State Capitol or elsewhere in Pulaski County. (b) The division may establish district headquarters in other parts of the state if it is found to be necessary for the better enforcement of the provisions of this chapter. The Director of the Division of Arkansas State Police shall have the authority to assign the personnel for the district headquarters when designated.
