Payment for food used by division

(a) (1) The Division of Correction may make payment from the Division of Correction Inmate Care and Custody Fund Account to the Division of Correction Farm Fund in an amount not to exceed fifty cents (50¢) on each dollar's worth of food produced on the Division of Correction's farm for consumption in the Inmate Care and Custody Program. (2) The Division of Community Correction may make payment to the Division of Correction Farm Fund in an amount not to exceed fifty cents (50¢) on each dollar's worth of food produced on the Division of Correction's farm for consumption by inmates in the custody of the Division of Community Correction. (b) The Division of Correction and the Division of Community Correction shall keep appropriate records reflecting farm production and the value of farm-produced products utilized in the Inmate Care and Custody Program or for the care of inmates in the custody of the Division of Community Correction and shall keep records of current market values in support of any such payments. (c) In no event shall the amount received under this section, when combined with any loans forgiven under provisions of other laws, exceed the combined value of the farm-produced products utilized by the Inmate Care and Custody Program and utilized for the care of inmates held in the custody of the Division of Community Correction.
