(a) The Division of Correction may report to the House Committee on State Agencies and Governmental Affairs and the Senate Committee on State Agencies and Governmental Affairs no later than December 1 of each year regarding its efforts in rehabilitating the inmate population. (b) (1) The report may include the division's rehabilitative efforts regarding inmate education, specific job training, behavior modification, psychological treatment and assistance, and substance abuse programs. (2) Further, the report is to include the amount of meritorious good time or earned release credits awarded inmates by the division for the successful completion of the various rehabilitative programs.
