(a) The person conducting an investigation under this chapter shall have the right to obtain a criminal background check, including a fingerprint-based check in any national crime information database, on any subject of the report. (b) The results of the criminal background check shall not be disclosed outside of the Department of Human Services and the Department of Arkansas State Police except as permitted under this chapter.
