(a) Compensation shall be paid by check, by electronic funds transfer, or by state warrant. (b) Payment shall be made payable to the order of the person entitled to the compensation and paid directly to the person entitled to the compensation. (c) If the compensation beneficiary is a mental incompetent or a minor of tender years or immature judgment, the Workers' Compensation Commission, in the exercise of its discretion, may direct that payment shall be made to a legally appointed guardian of the estate of the incompetent or minor.
