(a) (1) The Legislative Auditor shall be entitled to such salary as may be authorized by appropriation of the General Assembly. (2) All other employees of the Legislative Joint Auditing Committee shall receive such remuneration as may be provided by the annual appropriations. (b) The Legislative Joint Auditing Committee is authorized to cooperate with the Council of State Governments and with national and regional organizations established to study governmental problems and may authorize one (1) or more of its members to attend the meetings thereof which the Legislative Joint Auditing Committee deems appropriate. Any member of the Legislative Joint Auditing Committee attending the meetings shall be reimbursed only for actual and reasonable expenses for transportation, meals, lodging, and other necessary expenses.
