(a) The President Pro Tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives may administer oaths to the members and officers of their respective houses. (b) The President Pro Tempore of the Senate, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, or the chair of a committee of the Senate or of the House of Representatives, or his or her designee, may administer oaths to witnesses in any case under their examination.
