8-118. Petition withdrawal or denial; custody In any case in which the petition is withdrawn or denied the court shall order the removal of the child from the proposed adoptive home if the court finds that such removal is in the child's best interest. If such removal is ordered, the court shall vest temporary legal custody in an agency with power to remove the child and to plan for the child's welfare. The court shall fix responsibility for temporary child support. The court may make such other orders as it deems necessary to protect and further the best interests of the child.
