5-560. Security operations; powers; peace officer status A. The state lottery commission shall maintain operations responsible for security. The director shall appoint a security officer to supervise the security operations of the commission. B. The security operations of the state lottery commission shall be a law enforcement agency and the supervising security officer is designated a peace officer. Such law enforcement agency and peace officer status shall be for the limited purpose of receiving investigative information from law enforcement agencies pertaining to investigations of lottery activities. C. No employee of the lottery commission is eligible for participation in the public safety personnel retirement system.
