48-2858. Public records; duties of engineer A. The district shall keep the records required by this article at the district office. The records shall be open to inspection during office hours. B. The engineer shall do the surveying and all other engineering work necessary under this article. Every certificate signed by the engineer in the engineer's official capacity is prima facie evidence of the truth of its contents. The engineer shall keep a record of all surveys made by him. In districts where there is no engineer, the board may appoint a suitable person to discharge those duties and fix that person's compensation.
