48-1701. Powers and duties of district A. Districts created under this chapter shall be bodies corporate for the purposes specified in this chapter and such as reasonably may be implied. B. A district shall have perpetual succession and may: 1. Exercise the power of eminent domain under the constitution and general laws of the state relating to such proceedings. 2. Make contracts. 3. Sue and be sued in its corporate name. 4. Acquire and hold real and personal property which is needed or useful in the conduct of its business. 5. Adopt a seal. 6. Do all things reasonably useful and lawful in carrying out the purposes expressed or implied by this chapter.
