44-1654. Telegraph or telephone company permitting use of instrument in bucket shop; classification A telegraph or telephone company or any agent thereof which knowingly permits a telegraph or telephone wire or instrument to remain in a bucket shop or knowingly permits the wires, instruments or equipment of the telegraph or telephone company to be used by a person operating a bucket shop, whether or not such equipment or instruments are leased by the person illegally using them, is guilty of a petty offense. Each day shall constitute a separate offense.
