41-561. Economic estimates commission; members; vacancies; limitation A. There shall be an economic estimates commission composed of the following three members: 1. The director of the department of revenue or the director's designee, who shall serve as chairman. 2. One person, who shall be knowledgeable in the field of economics, appointed by the president of the senate. 3. One person, who shall be knowledgeable in the field of economics, appointed by the speaker of the house of representatives. B. The appointive commission members shall be appointed for a term of two years and shall receive compensation determined pursuant to section 38-611. C. Vacancies in commission membership shall be filled for the balance of the unexpired term in the same manner as the original appointment. D. No member of the commission shall be a member of the legislature.
