36-1645. Definitions In this article, unless the context otherwise requires: 1. " Approved smoke detector" means an electronic device powered by batteries or alternating current that is capable of sensing visible or invisible products of combustion, that sounds an alarm audible in all sleeping areas of a guest unit and that meets the standards prescribed by the office of the state fire marshal pursuant to section 37-1383. 2. " Automatic fire extinguishing equipment" means a mechanical system that puts out fires by ejecting chemicals or water. 3. " Guest unit" means a room in a motel or hotel that is offered for lodging.
