31-444. Power of governor to suspend sentence for treason pending consideration by legislature The governor may suspend execution of the sentence upon a conviction for treason until the case may be reported to the legislature at its next session, at which time the legislature may either pardon, direct execution of the sentence, or grant a further reprieve.
