28-8290. Employment permitted A. On pronouncement of a jail sentence under section 28-8284, 28-8287 or 28-8288, the court may provide in the sentence that the defendant may be permitted, if the defendant is employed and can continue employment, to both: 1. Continue employment for not more than twelve hours per day or more than six days per week. 2. Spend the remaining day, days or parts of days in jail until the sentence is served. B. The defendant sentenced under this section shall be allowed out of jail only long enough to complete the defendant's actual hours of employment.
