28-361. Director; appointment; compensation A. The governor shall appoint the director pursuant to section 38-211 from a list of qualified candidates submitted by the transportation board. The director serves at the pleasure of the governor. B. The department of administration in consultation with the governor's office shall prepare a job description for the position of director and shall recruit candidates for the position. The board shall receive and review applications for the position of director and shall forward the names of all qualified applicants to the governor. The governor may ask for additional names and recommendations at any time. C. The director is eligible to receive compensation pursuant to section 38-611.
