28-1227. Local authority regulations; peace officers A. A local authority may not regulate the operation of a personal delivery device on a highway or in a pedestrian area in a manner that is inconsistent with this article. B. This section does not: 1. Affect the authority of a local authority's peace officers to enforce the laws of this state relating to the operation of a personal delivery device. 2. Prevent a local authority from prohibiting personal delivery devices in a specified zone or during certain hours in a specified zone to protect public health and safety.
