12-2264. Evidentiary value of birth and death certificates A birth, death or fetal death certificate is prima facie evidence of the facts therein stated, but if an alleged father of a child is not the husband of the mother, the certificate shall not be prima facie evidence of paternity if that fact is controverted by the alleged father.
