(a) Employment described in AS 23.10.070, 23.10.071, AS 33.30.201, and 33.30.191 is exempt from the requirements of AS 23.10.066 - 23.10.068. (b) Employment described in AS 23.10.055(a)(l) - (8) and (10) - (18) is exempt from the requirements of AS 23.10.066 - 23.10.068. However, notwithstanding any other provisions of this chapter, employment described under AS 23.10.055(a)(9) shall be covered by the paid sick leave requirements of AS 23.10.066 - 23.10.068. (c) An “employee” as defined by 45 U.S.C. 35l(d) who is subject to the federal Railroad Unemployment Insurance Act, 45 U.S.C. 351 et seq. shall be exempt from the requirements of AS 23.10.066 - 23.10.068.
