(a) Public members of the commission serve for staggered terms of three years or until a successor is appointed. (b) If a vacancy occurs in a public member's seat on the commission, the governor shall make an appointment for the unexpired portion of that member's term. (c) A public member may serve not more than two consecutive terms. (d) In this section, “public member” means those members appointed under AS 18.09.020(1)(B) - (K).
