A supporter must be an adult, but may not be (1) an employer or employee of the principal, unless the employer or employee is an immediate family member of the principal; (2) a person who provides paid support services, except decision-making assistance, directly to the principal, unless the person is an immediate family member of the principal; or (3) a person against whom a protective order or restraining order has been entered by a court on request of or on behalf of the principal.
