(a) A person commits the crime of unlawful marrying if the person knowingly marries or purports to marry (1) another when that person or the other is lawfully married to a third person; (2) more than one person simultaneously; or (3) a person who simultaneously is marrying another person. (b) Unlawful marrying is a class A misdemeanor.
