(a) If a foreign corporation applying for a certificate of authority has a name that is impermissible under any provision of AS 10.06.720, it shall select an assumed name, acceptable under the provisions of AS 10.06.720, under which it elects to do business in this state. (b) The commissioner shall maintain records that cross-reference the actual and assumed names of all foreign corporations authorized to transact business in this state.
