(a) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (b), the court may issue an order under this article only after notice and opportunity for a hearing appropriate in the circumstances. (b) The court may issue a preliminary order under this article in any of the following circumstances: (1) Without prior notice if the circumstances require issuance of an order before notice is given. (2) After notice and without a prior hearing if the circumstances require issuance of an order before a hearing is held. (3) After notice and without a hearing, provided the court finds that the administration of justice will be preserved without a hearing. (c) Upon request by an interested party for rehearing of a preliminary order entered under subdivision (b)(1) or (b)(2), the court shall schedule a hearing to make the order final and in compliance with subsection (a).
