There shall be kept by the secretary a book, to be known as the list of retired firefighters and policemen, which shall contain a complete record of the action of the board in retiring or refusing to retire any person under this part. For each person retired, the records shall show the date of entering service, date of retirement, and the reason of retirement. There shall also be kept a complete list of the names, ages, and addresses of all children and the name and address of the widow or widower, if any, of a policeman or firefighter who has been granted benefits under this part.
