Personnel Rules and Regulations; Removal of Employees

All employees of the county as herein defined shall be subject to the personnel rules and regulations in or promulgated pursuant to this part. Present employees and those who may hereafter be employed shall remain in their respective employments during good behavior, efficiency, and adherence to such rules and regulations as, from time to time, may be prescribed by the board. Nothing herein contained shall be construed to prevent or preclude the removal of an employee for cause in the manner defined and provided by the board, and nothing herein contained shall be construed to prevent or preclude the removal of an employee or employees, in the sole discretion of the board, for purposes of cost or budget reduction, and no present employee shall be subject to any examination in order to hold his or her present job.
